Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MindLoop collects, why it collects it, and the choices you have. It applies to the MindLoop website and to live game sessions hosted on it.

Information we collect
Account information: when you create an account we store your email address, username and a hashed password. If you sign in through a third-party provider we receive the basic profile information that provider shares.
Gameplay data: session results, scores, answers, rankings and the question banks and assignments you create. This is what powers leaderboards, dashboards and profile analytics.
Players who join a session with only a room code and a display name are not required to create an account, and we do not collect an email address for them.
Technical data: standard server logs including IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and diagnosing faults.
How we use it
To run live sessions, calculate scores and rankings, keep your question banks and assignments available across sessions, and produce the analytics shown in your dashboard and profile.
To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use gameplay content for advertising.
Cookies
MindLoop uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a NEXT_LOCALE cookie to remember the interface language you chose. The language cookie is only written when you actively pick a language.
Data retention and your rights
Account and gameplay data is retained while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us, and deleting your account removes your personal data and disassociates your historical session results.
Children
MindLoop is designed to be used in classroom settings under the supervision of a teacher or institution. Where a school hosts sessions for pupils, the school acts as the controller for those pupils' participation, and pupils can take part using only a display name.
